Member of the Saints team compete in the CCL Showcase

COMPTON, CA – The annual showcase for the California Collegiate League is happening Wednesday, July 16th at the MLB Youth Academy. This showcase is an opportunity for some of the best players in the CCL to show off their skills to college and MLB scouts.  

This showcase game is split into two teams, comprised of the North and South divisions of the league. And being a part of the South Division team, seven different Saints made the roster. 

For pitchers, Nolan McCracken (transfer portal) made the roster, and Zach Erdman (transfer portal) made the team as an alternate. Both pitchers have also gotten the honor of being named pitcher of the week for the Saints. 

For the Saints’ hitters, Joey Milto (transfer portal), Levi Maddela (transfer portal), Trotter Enright (Long Beach State), and Lane Haworth (transfer portal) all made the roster. Every one of the Saints’ hitters that made the team, all of them besides Enright, made it as a member of the outfield.  

The final member of the Saints team that made the cut was Cody Turner, who will take part in the homerun derby. Which will take place before the game at 4:30 p.m.  

The game itself will be played tonight at 7 p.m. at the MLB Youth Academy in Compton, California.
