Saints are looking to get momentum going before playoffs

PASADENA, CA – On Wednesday, July 23rd at Jackie Robinson Field, sees two teams with two different stories. The Arroyo Seco Saints (15-16) are set to face off against the Philippines Baseball Group (3-16).

The Saints’ story is that they are set for a wildcard playoff game against the Orange County Riptide. Arroyo Seco has been hot and cold all season long.

They would go on a winning streak; they go on a losing one. Other times they would flip flop between losing and winning games.

Right now, the Saints are 2-1 in their last three games. With winning against the Riptide and MLB Academy Barons but also dropping one against the Barons.

In the Saints’ last game, they defeated the Barons in a 5-3 decision. Getting help from Trotter Enright (Cal State Long Beach) and Keon Moseni (Central Arkansas) who both had solo homeruns.

The Philippines’ story, they have had a season to forget, only winning three games. They are currently on a six-game losing streak. After having back-to-back wins against the Barons and Conejo Oaks.

In their last game, the Philippines lost to the Barons 17-5. The Barons were led by a three-hit game from Dylan Taguiam.

The last time these two teams played was back on June 8th. The Saints won the game favorably with a score of 17-4. The Saints had big performances from Enright who had a four-hit game, Jack Little (Baylor) who had a three hit and four RBI game, and Joey Milto (portal) with a four hit and six RBI game.

The Philippines and Saints are set to play at 6:05 p.m. at Jackie Robinson Field.
