Saints on the Road Looking to Take Down the Barons
By Saints Interns June 06, 2026 05:20pmCompton, CA – The Saints (0-1) are on the road for their first away game against the Academy Barons (1-0) on Saturday, June 6th at the MLB Urban Youth Academy.
Coming off a loss in their first game of the season against the San Diego Waves (1-3), the Saints are looking to shift their mentality and earn their first win of the season. First base coach Fred Pudrith is “happy to be here” supporting the Saints’ 2026 team and helping his players develop their skills.
While the Saints are coming in with something to prove, the Barons earned a win against the Philippines Baseball Group on Friday. The Barons want to continue their early-season success.
In the 8th inning last night, the Saints had a final burst of energy, closing the gap between them and the Waves. An outstanding double off the wall by Juan Pablo Manzo (Loyola Marymount University), sending Sean Asperger (Undecided), Dylan Immel (Undecided), and Canon King (Undecided) to home plate.
While the Saints found strength in hitting, their errors put them in trouble. Today, the Saints are working to stay composed and improve their defense.
A few wild pitches were thrown in yesterday’s game, so the Saints aim to deny the Barons any easy runs with pitcher Joe O’Regan (Undecided).
First pitch is at 6:05 pm, and you can tune into the game on the Saints’ Youtube Channel
