More to Look Forward to in Game Two
The Arroyo Seco Saints are gearing up for game two of their three game series against the San Luis Obispo Blues.
SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA - The Arroyo Seco Saints (5-11) are gearing up for game two of their three game series against the San Luis Obispo Blues (18-4). After their loss last night, the Saints are hoping to get hot early in the game and put more runs on the board.
Despite the first game loss of this three game series, the Saints were content with their performance and are excited to get on the field for their next game.
Saints catcher Camden Andrews (California Baptist University), who played with the Blues last summer, shared how the environment can really motivate the team.
"This is a cool place to play. There's always a lot of fans and it's pretty easy to get fired up," Andrews said. "I know everybody wants to win, so lets just do the same thing tomorrow and see what happens."
The Saints pitching was able to hold the Blues to five runs, giving their bats a chance to get hot late and make up for the early deficit.
Brandon Nguyen (Undecided) hit a double that drove in two runs for the Saints, however their rally was cut short as they fell 5-2.
Although the Saints are entering game two down in the series, they have much to be optimistic about.
First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m. PDT and streaming is available on the Arroyo Seco Saints YouTube Channel.
