PASADENA, CA - The Arroyo Seco Saints (6-12) are back home to face the Santa Barbara Foresters (17-3). Right before the All-Star break, the Saints are looking to start another win streak.
The Saints have a lot of good takeaways from their weekend in San Luis Obispo against the Blues, and are looking forward to implementing what they have learned into their game.
In their last game, the Saints dropped an eight run lead to the Blues' resilient hitting. Starting pitcher for the Saints, Thomas Peck (University of Nevada - Reno), only gave up two runs in his short outing, then gradually the Blues came back winning the game 9-8.
Though ending the series with a loss, ultimately losing the series, the Saints are ready to get back on the field and play with the same aggressive mindset they took the field with last weekend.
The California Collegiate League has also announced the players selected to be featured in the All-Star game in Reno, Nevada on July 4.
Zach Leite (Old Dominion University), Jacob Freer (Undecided) and Brayden Flores (Loyola Marymount University) have all been selected to represent the Saints in Reno. Joe O'Regan (Undecided) has also been selected to be in the pitching rotation for the South Division.
The Foresters are still going strong at the top of the Southern Division, building a two game winning streak after their eleven game win streak was broken by the Blues.
First pitch is scheduled for 5:35 p.m. PDT with streaming available on the Arroyo Seco Saints YouTube channel.
