PASADENA, CA - The Arroyo Seco Saints (7-13) are set to face the San Diego Waves (3-5) at Jackie Robinson Memorial Field to finish the week right before the All-Star weekend.
After the Saints' win yesterday against the Academy Barons (11-9), they will attempt to close out the first half of the season on a win streak.
After being down by four in the first two innings in their last game, the Saints clawed back with two home runs hit by Evan Reiter (Santa Ana College) and Brandon Nguyen (Undecided). Bryce Robinette (Undecided) also contributed to the Saints' lead by hitting a double, scoring Dylan Immel (Undecided).
Reiter and Nguyen struck again later on in the game to seal a 6-5 win for the Saints.
Before the break, the Saints have made their way to second in the California Collegiate League in several key offensive stats, totaling 189 hits and 106 RBIs in 20 games. They trail only the Santa Barbara Foresters, who have 218 hits and 160 RBIs.
